How to connect Spotify to Google Home

The first solution you can consider is link your Spotify account to the Google Home app for Android or iPhone/iPad devices. In this way, you will be able to listen to Spotify through the Google smart speaker by requesting the songs of your interest with simple voice commands, provided that an Internet connection is always available.
However, I would like to point out that to request specific songs, playlists or albums, you must have activated a Spotify Premium subscription. Otherwise, the songs played will be based on your requests (e.g. the same musical genre) and with commercial breaks.
If, on the other hand, you want to use Google Home simply as a music speaker to listen to Spotify by controlling its playback from other devices, all you have to do is connect Google Home to your smartphone, tablet or computer via Bluetooth.

How to link Spotify account to Google Home
If your intention is link your Spotify account to Google Home and use the famous music streaming service directly from the “big G” speaker, all you have to do is start the Google Home app, access the audio services section, choose Spotify and enter the credentials associated with your account.
To proceed, therefore, take your smartphone or tablet, start the app Google Home and press on the item Settings (the icon of gear wheel), top right. In the new screen that appears, locate the section Servicestap the option Music and press on the item Spotify visible in the box Other music services.
In the screen Connect your Spotify account tap the button Link accounts and, if the Spotify app is already installed on your device and you are logged in with your account, press on the option I accept to link your Spotify account to Google Home.
How do you say? Downloaded Spotify but haven’t logged in yet? To do this, access the section again Music Google Home app, make sure Spotify isn’t the default music service (if not, put a check next to the option No default or select another service, such as YouTube Music or Deezer) and tap the option Unplug for two consecutive times. How to connect Spotify to Google Home via Bluetooth
If you prefer connect Spotify to Google Home via Bluetooth and use the Google speaker as speakers for your smartphone, tablet or computer running Spotify, all you have to do is activate the Google Home pairing mode and then connect the latter to the device of your interest.
To proceed, therefore, start the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet, locate yours Google Home in the room it is located in and tap on it. In the new screen that appears, press the icon gear wheelat the top right, locate the section Device settingsselect the option Paired Bluetooth devices and tap the button Activate pairing mode.
Now, if you have a smartphone or tablet equipped with androidlog in to Settings device by pressing the icon gear wheel select the option Device connection and tap on the item Bluetooth. Identify, then, Google Home among the devices detected in the section Available devices and press on it to establish the connection.
If you have a iPhones/iPadsinstead, press the icon of gear wheel to access the Settings of iOS/iPadOS, select the option Bluetoothlocate the section other devices and press on the option Google Home to connect the two devices.
If you prefer to proceed from a computer and you have a PC with Windows 10click on the button start (the flag icon located in the lower-left corner of the screen) and press on the icon gear wheel to access the Settings Of computer.
