Instagram it’s your favorite social network, and until today, you thought you knew how to use it perfectly. Recently however, you were surprised by a story posted by a friend, which showed a song card by Spotify and referred to listening to it in the famous streaming music app: you had no idea you could publish this type of content.
Now, then, you ask yourself how to share spotify on instagram and you are looking for an answer to this question. Well: you’ll be happy to know that you can easily do this by following the steps I’m about to show you in this tutorial of mine. In the next chapters, in fact, I will explain how to share a Spotify song on Instagram, both in stories and in posts.

How to Share Spotify on Instagram in Stories
If your intent is to share Spotify on Instagram in Storiesyou’ll be happy to know that you can do this in a simple and immediate way, using the native sharing feature of the app. Spotify for Android and iOS.
To do this, install and launch the app Spotify on your smartphone or tablet, (referring to my tutorial on how to download Spotify for free, in case of doubts or problems). Once the application has started, log in to your account or register for free, so you can browse the service catalog and locate the song to share on the Instagram story.
In this regard, to search for a song on Spotify, you can first refer to the main screen (the symbol of a house), in which there are some featured music albums. Alternatively, if you are looking for a specific song, press on themagnifying glass icon located in the menu at the bottom, and type the title of the same in the search engine you find at the top.

After having identified the song of your interest, to share it in the stories of Instagrampress on the icon (…) which you can find under its callsign, if you found the song in an album list. If, on the other hand, you have already started playing, the (…) icon is located in the upper right corner of the song card.
Once this is done, on the next screen, first tap on the wording Share and then on the voice Instagram Stories: This will open the story creation tool within the app Instagram and an image (therefore without the audio) will be automatically generated which represents the profile of the selected song, referring you to listening through the app Spotify for Android or iOS.
That being said, to share the Spotify song in Stories by Instagrampress the button Your story. Those who view the story you shared on Instagram will be able to listen to the song on Spotifyby pressing on the wording Listen on Spotify visible above.

Alternatively, to share a piece of music on Spotifyyou can record the screen of your smartphone or tablet while the song is playing in the app, thus obtaining a video to share in Instagram stories.
To carry out this screen recording operation, as I will explain to you in the next chapter, you can take advantage of the native functionality of android (if present on your device) and iOS or, on Android, use third-party apps, such as ADV Screen Recorder, which I told you more specifically about in this tutorial of mine.
After recording the screen video, launch the app Instagram on android or iOS and log in to your account. Now, press oncamera icon located in the upper left corner of the home screen, then open the media gallery of your device by pressing the relative icon located in the lower left.
Select, then, by tapping on it, the previously recorded video to import it into the stories and then share it, by pressing the button Your story.
Sharing Spotify to Instagram in posts
Would you like to know how share Spotify on Instagram in posts? In that case, you should know that Spotify doesn’t have a native feature that allows you to do this. The only possible solution is to record a video of the smartphone or tablet screen while a piece of music is playing. The video obtained can thus be shared on Instagram within the posts.
That said, to do this on android you can use the native recording tool, if it is present in your device. For example, on the smartphone android that I’m using to make this guide (Huawei Mate 10 Pro), to start screen recording, you have to press the keys simultaneously Volume Up + Shutdown. At the end, to save the video in the device memory, just press on the item Stop located at the top.

In case your Android smartphone or tablet is not equipped with a native recording functionality, refer to my guide on how to record the screen on Android to locate a third-party app that suits your needs and perform the registration procedures indicated.
On iOSinstead, starting from iOS 11you can record the device screen using the native functionality located in the Control Center. To call up this tool, swipe from the bottom to the top (or from the top right corner of the screen to the bottom, on iPhone X) and press on round button which is located in the lower left corner.

At this point, after a short countdown, everything on the device screen will automatically be recorded. To finish the registration, tap on red bar located at the top and then presses on the item Stop.
Once you have the video, you can share it on Instagram within posts. To do this, start the photo social network app and log in to your account.

Then press on the icon (+) located in the bottom menu and locate the video you just recorded in your device’s media gallery. Tap on it to select it, then to share it, first press the button Come on twice consecutively and finally, tap the button Share.
