Spotify app launches on Apple Watch

Spotify is currently rolling out its app for the Apple Watch. First attempts show interesting functions, but those hoping for an autonomous version will be disappointed. At the beginning of November there was already a message about a beta test.

The app serves more as a remote control and unfortunately does not offer any independent functions. This allows you to play, pause, skip tracks, or go back in the future. The app also shows recently played titles and favorites. The volume can be adjusted with the Digital Crown.

We’re constantly on the go—whether bouncing between the gym, work, school, errands, or just chilling—and our smartwatches are the tool to help keep us up to speed. Today, Spotify is introducing a new app for the Apple Watch, giving you the ability to seamlessly access and control your favorite music and podcasts without missing a beat.

Spotify App – offline playback planned

According to its own information, Spotify is working on an offline version of the Apple Watch app. Music and podcasts could be transferred to the watch and played back without a smartphone. Spotify is currently rolling out this feature on Garmin sports watches.
