The music streaming top dog Spotify has announced new business figures. According to this, Spotify was used by 113 million paying premium subscribers as of the end of September. At the end of June it was 108 million. Including the ad-financed free use, Spotify recorded a total of September 248 million users.
Apple Music had 60 million customers at the end of June
Apple Music had 60 million paying users at the end of June, Eddy Cue revealed at the time. In other words, Spotify has almost twice as many premium subscribers as Apple. And that’s not likely to change much in the near future. “Publicly available data shows that we’re adding nearly twice as many users per month compared to Apple,” Spotify said.
